SLOVENIAN SUPPORT TO FESTIVAL QUEER SARAJEVO 2009!

This week the 2.Queer Sarajevo festival is occuring at Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is organized by Association Q (Udruzenje Q), where the Bosnian LGBTIQ activitists collaborate. The first festival Queer Sarajevo, a festival of LGBTIQ culture and art, took place between September 24th and 28th. Altough, after the entering celebration it was cancelled on account of brutal physical violence pointed at participants of the festival by the islamic fundamentalists and sport fans groups. No legal Bosnian authority or institution did not respond to this violence. Nevertheless, a documentary movie was made depicting the experiences of the 1.Queer Sarajevo festival.

Cultural centre Q (clubs Monokel and Tiffany) from the Student Cultural Association (SKUC) strongly supports Queer Sarajevo festival! Praising the pride and courage of our Bosnian colleagues from Udruzenje Q,  we are devoting this weeks´ movie projection and party till dawn to them!

22.00 - documentary movie about 1. Festival Queer Sarajevo 2008

22.30 - documentary movie of artistic performances not carried out at the festival 2009: show by the drag king Huso Orucevic (Lobotom vs. Penis), drag queen Viva la Diva (I will survive) and performance by the artist Ivan Dimchev (Lili Handel). 

23.30 - 4.00 - Sarajevo party with DJ Ishtar and DJ Luk@mayem!
